    It doesn't take that long or much money to get a sparky to check it out. Is it worth damaging your equipment or even worse?

    Who said you needed an electrician, the school? in which case they may want you to do a portable appliance test on it. That's unusual though, usually new kit isn't tested for the first year.

    Ok so today i plugged 2 servers 2 monitors and 2 switches into the ups and plugged it in and im still alive so thats a good sign :-)
    Everything seems to be working the way it should, just have to configure the software tomorrow .
