You wont be able to hook up your BNC type connector to that thing. Do you mean from a cable modem to that to you?

Me too
All we need is for Russell, Mark and a few others to have won and we will know there is a conspiracy.
Damn! - didn't visit that stand!!!
Wont work with cable mate, you need an ethernet router, but congrats anyway (get em to send u an ethernet one)

They have been mailed.
Lucky bastards![]()
Be thankful you didn't win: it's DLINK.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
I just spent this morning working on some D-Link ap 900+ base stations. Not an entirely painless task.
Thats exactly why I didnt say ANY thing lol.
So maybe someone can tell me, how do you win a wireless cisco one or a linksys one.
Cant remember what the cisco ones are called ( Aero ) something or other lol.
Reminds me of that yummy chocolate bar lol.

Rats as well, missed that stand![]()
We used to have a load of those. I'm glad we don't any more :|Originally Posted by kingswood
That said, I have a DLink router at home (DI-624+ I think) which has proven perfectly reliable so far. A damn site better than the USR model it replaced.
Cisco wireless = Aironet and it aint Cisco, Cisco just bought up a company and whacked IOS onto their hardware. I worked with AP1200s at my last place and i loved them tho, i have got a Soho 91 (no wifi) at home and i hate it, cisco dont do soho very well.Originally Posted by gecko
The Soho 91 cost me £265(!) and the java web interface doesnt play ball very well with any other version of java apart from Microsofts, the update function does not work, but on the plus side, i can console it and do some damn nice tricks with it.

Yep ... we use 1230/1231 but are looking at the 1000 series now for easier management (with a 4100 series controller)
This is one reason why I don't need the DSL box from D-Link ... I have a 1231 at home.
I'll just add it to the prize pot probably for the next competition.
Do you use the standard aerials or have u looked at the hi gain evil kitchen roll holder style ones? i put in the network using the original aerials and then upgraded any areas we had patchy signals in, using the new evil aerials we could get it thru 4 floors! Only downside is they are £70 a popOriginally Posted by GrumbleDook

I challenge that to get through all 4 floors at our place for £70!
