We have to Xerox Phaser 8400 DTN printers that we have been running for about 18 months now. Apart from being a little expensive to run they have proved very reliable until today.....
One of the printers keeps getting a paper jam. I have looked high and low for bits of paper but I cant find any and I have made sure the rollers are clean enough to operate properly.
The strange thing is though that most times it will print the first sheet and stick on the second. It seems to be bunching up on the right hand side but it doesnt look like its getting obstructed but maybe sticking.
Anyone had any experience of this . I remember reading somewhere, somebody complaining about haveing these printers and them dying fairy soon...
Cheers
Chris

Theres no error code it just seems to jam. Having figured out the path of the paper it seems to go round the drum then it gets stuck at the flap immediately after the drum with a plastic blade on it. This blade is supoosed to skim the drum and push the paper upwards towards the exit rollers as far as I can tell.
Instead it is getting doubled over and is continuing around with the drum.
The plastic blade does look a little bent but no more than usual and I ahve cleaned all the rollers I can get my hands on.

Ah well I have tried everything I can think of. Managed to get a free callout of Xerox as its out of warranty with the people we bought it off.
