Hi
We have recently purchased 20 or so laptops from Novatech. Problem I am having is that in order to enable the wireless you have to press FN and F10 every time you turn the computer on.
Is there a way of "forcing" the wireless into life without having to use these keys? Maybe some script during boot process?
I am having visions now of teachers returning these laptops saying "I can't log on..."

You looked in the bios?
What model are they?

Hi they are new ones, bit pathetic when you have to activate the wireless yourself....we have old acers here and the wireless turns on automatically.
Model No: U50SI1
Any ideas?

15th January 2008, 10:07 AM #4 We have the same problem with a load of Acer 4150 laptops - wireless has to be turned on every single time, which causes a LOT of problems
No way we could ever find to keep it enabled, so all we could do was make all the teachers aware, and finally (after 2 years) we're starting to get less calls about them

I'd check the BIOS first though - should be an on/off/last state in there somwhere
