    HP MSA 1040 SAN

    Hi

We recently purchased a MSA 1040 SAN and been having huge issue with controllers failing.
We have open support call with HP that was raised almost 4 weeks ago but we seem no closer to resolving this issue.

Error is always the same "PCIE link recovery fail"

I can see there is information on this error on the internet for much older SAN, but nothing for MSA 1040 or MSA 2040.

Is anyone else having issue with these units?
Has anyone got any ideas that might be able to help us?

    Thanks

Can your reseller do anything? They should have the contacts at HP to kick some serious booty and get things sorted. 4 weeks is a bit of a joke

My reseller told me my support is with HP, lesson learnt on that.

I have pushed for a replacement SAN, but at this point I'm not confident this will resolve our on going issue as issue is point to serious firmware issue.

Well it is with HP but it doesnt mean that they can't help out. If they're a HP partner, they'll be able to put pressure on HP to get the issue sorted sooner rather than later.

I don't know if it'll work but feel free to email me some details and I'll see what I can do from my end!
