I have been told that the school has purchased a document management system called Virtual Cabinet and if we are available in 2 weeks time to help engineers install it.
This is fine but nobody has even thought about storage and backup. The recommended install is pretty low spec Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz, 4GB of RAM, but the Total recommended Hard Drive space is 750GB.
We do not have this space available on any of our existing servers.
What do you think I should go with - purchase a full Server that would do the job or maybe go with a Direct Attached storage option or anything else. Any low cost options to back this up to would be appreciated too.
