OK, so who can suggest some decent networked colour laser printers?
They will be to replace a couple of Minolta Magicolor 2300DLs which are costing a lot to run and getting a bit long in the tooth.
They handle all the printing needs of the school, so need to be reliable, robust, fast and reasonable on consumables cost.
Initial price is not too much of a problem, although I'd prefer not to spend more than £500 each.
Ideas please!
Cheers,
Chris.

oki, c5600 is ok for 20k prints. It costs £300 to buy but costly if it high volume @ around £100 per 2K prints.

We used to be an all Lexmark and Minolta shop. After dealing with some horrible products from both we now have and only buy HP networked printers.
We have had great luck with the 3500 series of printers. Just ordered a new one last week as a matter of fact.

We use Kyocera printers (mono and colour). Currently, the colour printer we are mostly buying is the 5025C (http://www.kyoceramita.co.uk/pages/p.../FS-C5025N.asp) which is less than £500 from XMA. Running costs good - less than 5p per page for 5% coverage and the printers are solidly built (which is always good!)

7th January 2008, 11:58 AM #9 The HP Colour Laserjet CP3505n is a good printer - fast, cheap-ish to keep going and they're relatively cheap to buy if you get them from the right place -such as here: http://www.ameiva.co.uk/products/4A8...et-CP3505.html

7th January 2008, 02:46 PM #10 We have about half a dozen HP 3600ns. Excellent printers, they don't give us any hassle except when they need their carts changing.
Look out for HPs cash back deals. We've just saved £150 on one.

7th January 2008, 03:39 PM #11 We have a magicolor 2300 that is running with refilled toner and refurbished opc drum, I'm dreading the day we have to replace it as it produces fantastic quality images, we mainly use it for photos. So when you replace yours let me know what you get and if the image quality is as good! Thanks
