Rep Power: 0 | TronXP, As you have tried different computers connected to the same SMART Board that should rule out issues with the SMART Board software etc. A common software related problem is inadequate permissions within the registry that stores the calibration settings after an orientation. (Sorry not got the exact location / keys to hand). It sounds like you have a fault with the physical SMART Board. Look for any obvious marks, indentations, score marks or bubbles on the board. We have managed to fix some indentations using a suction cup! The left hand side of a SMART Board going out of orientation can also be caused by the board not laying flat / parallel with the wall (as there is no stopper located at the rear of the bottom left area of the SMART Board) and this can be exaggerated by the 2 screws at the bottom of the board being over tightened and effectively creating too much tension on the board. Simply undo these 2 screws and leave for a period of time, then try again. If after this, the fault still occurs, then simply phone Steljes who will rectify the problem. There is a 5 year warranty with SMART Boards. Admitently, the last board we had with a similar fault to this was replaced on-site. |

Rep Power: 0 | agreed with those statements - sometimes it is a firmware update needed to the SC card (the brains of the SMART Board) - if you go into the diagnostics (control panel) of the SMART Board Toolbar - what version of the firmware is the board running at? |

Rep Power: 6 | This is a known fault with some versions of 9.x software for the smartboard. It has been fixed with version 9.7 SP1. The screws being to tight at the bottom cause wavy lines when drawn. |

Rep Power: 0 | I've had a few similar issues with a couple smartboards. SMART was kind enough to warranty them and send replacements. Check your cabling also. When our new high school was build the wiring company, who i think worked with their eyes closed, messed up some of the wiring in the wall. Lucky for us we were close enough between the computer and smartboard to run a new cable ourself. |
