Im replacing an aged app server which hosts over twenty shared resources\applications, a basic lightly used smtp server, a wamp server for a very basic intranet page and a few lightly used databases. I was debating between it all going on a mirrored pair which would be good for reads or a raid 5 set for a kind of a balance between the two.
Im intending to stick with hp proliants as is our standard but was debating between a dl360 with mirrored pair for OS and mirrored pair for data, or a DL380 with mirrored pair for os and RAID5 set for data.
Please can I have your advice/suggestions/opinions on the best solution
