    Dell Optplex7010 MT - 3.5" HDD Caddies

In the process of procuring some more OptiPlex 7010 MT w/2.5" SDD Primary Drives...

Ideally we would like 3.5" SATA HDD Secondary drives but the Dell Premier Website & our Dell Manager state that they cannot configure mixed sized storage (it has to be either 2x 2.5" or 2xx 3.5"!)

Does anyone know of where I could source some 3.5" HDD Caddies suitable for Optiplex 7010 MT Chassis? Or will I have to go via ebay?

    Many Thanks,

Are you buying through Dell direct? I'd wager a reseller could put that config together for you; Premier doesn't give you the full config options and Dell's education account managers sometimes don't even know that themselves in my experience.

Can anyone advise of where I can source 3.5" HDD Brackets suitable for OptiPlex 7010 MT Chassis computers? (Besides ebay)

    I'll need approx 25.

    Thanks.

Aftermarket costs for stuff like that from Dell is usually mad money.

Double sided tape the SSDs in here - they're light, no moving parts, and flat plastic.

its the caddies for the 3.5" HDD I am after... The 2.5" SDD are already pre-installed.

All because Dell cannot supply their Optiplex's with mixed sized drives!! (either 2x 2.5" or 2x 3.5"..madness, I know!)

Go for 3.5 and get SSDs from somewhere else, together with adaptors.
