I have a set of these for teachers. They seem well built and no complaints yet. How many do you need? I bought from Dell outlet and paid half that price including 3 year NBD on site Dell support. But that wouldn't work for large numbers - you have to buy one by one with a credit card and wait for the right spec to come up. Took me about two weeks to get 14.

We have quite a few of the 5530's, not that exact model as we get them direct from Dell with either SSD's or hybrid drives and 8Gb RAM and 3 year pro support at a much cheaper price than is quoted there. They are very nice laptops, no complaints at all See if you can manage to get hold of either the Dell Edu team directly or one of the resellers on here as I'm sure you'll get a better deal.

We got 20 of these units last year, with i5, 8Gb, SSD 240Gb, Intel WIFI upgrade, 5 year warranty for around £650 per unit. They absolutely fly and have had no negative feedback, apart from reflections on the weight, as compared to previous laptops they've had, but the performance far out weighs this issue.

We tend to buy through resellers, as they always beat Dell direct in our experience. On this occasion, we got the SSD drives separately (from the same reseller, with the same warranty), as Dell were unable to build exactly what we wanted. The result was a little more work for us, but profiting by 20x320Gb SATA drives for other purposes.

Just taken a delivery of these. They are really good. They look visually appealing as well. Would recommend.
