    Switch Monitoring

    Hi All,

Can anyone recommend any good (and free) software that i can monitor a couple of our Procurve switches with. We think we are having some end user performance issues and i need to start ruling some things out and be in a position to proove that it is or isnt being caused by switch and / or rogue devices.

    Many thanks

I'd suggest a mix of cacti for looking at endpoint connections (net lines, etc) CactiŽ - The Complete RRDTool-based Graphing Solution and NTOP ntop which can show you usage per device

HP Procurve Manager is available for a 60 day trial.

The free version of the HP Procurve Manager might be enough if you have less than 25 devices.
