Was looking at getting the netgear rangemax next
http://www.morecomputers.co.uk/extra...WNR854T-100UKS

on some sites it says 4 port and on others it says 5 ports.
I mainly wanted to know how am I supposed to tell if it has an inbuilt ADSL2 or ADSL2+ modem and or if this router is more for a cable internet connection such as virgin media ?
I couldnt really see much info with regards to this side of things and need a bit of enlightment
Thanks

I'd say it doesn't have ADSL since its not mentioned.
Also, a customer says its works fine connected to his NTL modem - implies cable user.
the 4/5 port discrepency could be that it has 4LAN ports and 1 WAN port.
Computer says no

Yes it's a cable router - so you'll need to connect a cable modem to the wan port
Nearest you'll get is a DG834N which has built in ADSL/ADSL2+ modem, but no gigabit ethernet..
Personally am waiting for proper ratified "N" devices.. not too keen on all this proprietry nonsense
