    Adding power to redundant psu

Hi all. I have a Dell PE300T with a redundant psu. Am I OK to connect power to the psu while the server is running? I want to add a second ups as our first one is starting to fail.

Yes, absolutely. Both PSUs should be connected with a redundant set - I'm surprised the box hasn't been throwing warnings that it isn't

Yep you will be fine, done it a few times. Most parts in the dell can be changed when the server is live. I have changed fans in a Poweredge 2950 when its live (did nearly loose a finger though)
