I would recommend LCD over DLP because I find cheaper DLP projectors have very bright whites which wash out all the other colours.
Epson's business projector range all uses 3LCD technology and their projectors are the probably the most reliable and solid I've seen in schools.
You probably want it to be XGA, but have a look at the S5 and the X5 projectors. I've heard good things about both of them.

I would agree. DLP projectors dont yet reproduce good tones in yellow, orange and red.
On the plus side they dont need their filters cleaning as DLP Blows air out (therefore doesnt need a filter) whereas LCD sucks air in to cool down the lamp.
There are some excellent offers on certain models of Epson right now including 4 year warranty on both projector & lamp.
