    Espresso (vanished)

Just replaced the cab in my server room this holiday. Had to shuffle some things around so shutdown all the servers. Anywho upon restarting Espresso (RM Smartcache2 box) it appears to have disapeared from the network. Can't access espresso in the browser and can no longer ping it etc.

Sadly I don't have any root passwords to it as strictly speaking I don't think I am allowed to mess around with it.

Tried the obvious replacing of patch leads to no avail.

Any ideas before the I have to make a call to support on Monday?

Our Espresso boxes (cachepilot) have a VGA output - if yours does - try plugging in a monitor if you can and see what's happening.

    regards

We went through 3 of these boxes when we purchased them so I am not a big fan, I think 2 of them had network socket issues.

Like the other poster said, mine has a VGA socket so you can see it booting up and look for errors, you can even delve into the inner workings if you have the password but thats not allowed

Yep already done that it looks like it's trying to connect to something but failing.

Also spotted an error on the reboot later on pretty sure the NIC has broken on it now.

A call has been logged with the LA as they hold the RM warranty.
