We have recently setup an Netgear GSM7224 switch, and have had no end of troubles. This is our first non Cisco switch in the school.
Firstly not all our clients could connect, for some reason laptops with Realtek nics could not connect, a downgrade in drivers seemed to help fix the problem.
Now we have a problem that our wireless routers are not allowing any connectivity.
Am not big on switches, any know what could be wrong?
Thanks.

Do you use VLAN's? or any other managed functions?

Hmm. I use these as well as the 48 port version and have had zero problmes with them. Is all the management setup correctly, as they don't work straight out of the box?
Also Netgear are quite good at releasing updates for them have you got the latest firmware applied?
As you can see here: http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/GSM7224.asp There are lots to be had.

Yeah I sorted it, the tagging was wrong on the VLANs I had setup.
Thanks for the replys.
