Rep Power: 18 | I have installed it on an XP machine with no problems initially - hardware seen, software installed, all ready to play..... BUT when I access the software, I get a message to turn on the Scanner, which is of course already on. I have tried reinstalling the software, before and after connecting the scanner, and I don't quite know what to do now. Any ideas? |

Rep Power: 24 | I've had problems with Agfa SnapScan scanners, not that model I will say though, but seems to be related to XP and the fact that Agfa didn't make scanners for XP let alone really 2000. |

Rep Power: 9 | I recall fixing one for someone years ago, I think I had to use the Agfa drivers from their website, not on the CD, but I don't think the bundled scanning software worked - you had to capture with the Microsoft Office tool, a paint package or through the control panel (scanners and cameras) |

Rep Power: 30 | The scanner is unlocked, isn't it? I know I spent a while trying to figure out what the problem was with a new scanner once only to find I hadn't moved the locking switch (bottom of the scanner) into the "unlocked" position. -- David Hicks |

Rep Power: 34 | EDIT: realised I was referring to the Fujitsu ScanSnap which is a whole other product... and better supported it seems! Last edited by contink; 02-11-2008 at 06:48 PM.. |
