QNAP NAS box woes
I came in yesterday morning to find the firmware on my QNAP NAS Box ahad gone awry and I cannot seem to authenticate to the box or even access inside the shares. I have tried to update the firmware, but the box keeps telling me its not been configured yet but when clicking on okay to start configuration, the web console fails to open up.
From what I can see is that the share folders seem intact and that from that the RAID configuration must be kind of healthy and I will presume the data still exists within these folders.
I have raised a support ticket yesterday with QNAP and was wondering if anyone else has suffered this and how they rate QNAP support as I have never had any dealings with them before?

Shortly after posting the message, I got an email from QNAP asking to set up a teamviewer session, they connected to the NAS with a terminal session on PUTTY they unearthed a broken config file which has been patched, it looks like they removed all permissions from the folder shares to allow access. The drive array is still rebuilding which will take around another day and a half, but the data can now be accessed via FTP, ableit it's slow.
