    Laptop Wireless N Card

I am looking to upgrade the PCI card in my Samsung NC10 to a wireless N capable card, can anyone recommend a good card to purchase?

Intel's Advanced-N 6235 WiFi / BT 4.0 PCIe card is good. I have one in a netbook and it has been faultless so far. Far better than the AzureWave card it replaced.

I bought it from a US eBay seller last year, but CCL sell them now (for 16.76).

Are you looking for 2.4 or 5ghz ??? I bought some Atheros mini pci cards from ebay at 12 each and at 5ghz they hit 300Mbps.

Might as well go for 5Ghz, just want to improve the network speed a bit on it.

This is what we bought, 30 of them to be precise and like I say they do sit at 300 Mbps at 5Ghz.

    Atheros 5418 AR5008 AR5BXB72 Wifi Mini-PCI 802.11ABGN 300M

Will order one up. Not sure if the card I have in has combined bluetooth in it, not that I hardly use that.

FWIW, after double-checking the wireless settings on my router I now get much better speeds.

Ordered the card (Atheros 5418 AR5008) from eBay and have it connected and it appears to work although I only have 2 cables and there are 3 slots on the card to plug them into, any advice?

I only had 2 cables as well a white one and a black one, the black cable went on the right hand side connection and the white on on the middle connection the one on the left was left blank.

Done the same with mine and seems to be ok, just wondered as couldn't find anything on the net about it.

    Nice fast connection now.

mimo setup needs 3 antennas to operate in full duplex, otherwise wont work in mimo mode and fall back to half duplex. but this is moot if your AP doesn't support mimo anyway! mimo and dual band are what are responsible for bloated impossible claims of wifi throughput.

Looks like my card is faulty and is BSOD even on a clean install of Windows so defiantly a hardware issue. Shame when it was working it was nice.
