Hi,
I took a risk and bought a Sanyo PLC-XE31 from an IT recyclers. It didn't come with a remote and these things are buttonless so I got a cheapo one from ebay and after switching it on it was very dim. The bulb warning was on so I thought I would buy a new bulb as even the cost of the projector and a bulb it would still be a bargain... but its still too dim to use.
Anyone got any suggestions? I think its only a 1500 lumens projector but all the lights have to be off to watch it.

6th March 2013, 10:36 AM #2 I think 1500 Lumins is made for a light controlled envronment. How big are you projecting and onto what surface?
My projectors are 2600 Lumins they'll work in modest light.

6th March 2013, 11:33 AM #4 1500 lumens is low but on some projectors you can make them even dimmer. Have a look in the settings and see if someone has put it in eco mode or something equally as daft.

6th March 2013, 03:17 PM #5 the LCD is probably clouded, we have had 1500 lumens and lower that have been ok in a classroom.
