iPad Sync/Charge Trolley
Morning all,
Does anyone have recommendations for (or warnings to avoid!) iPad sync and charge trolleys? (For 30/32 iPads each trolley)
Our local supplier has suggested an Ergotron at approx £1700. We will probably need 6 so it's quite a big spend - any help appreciated!
Thanks,
Jo

At first thought I hadnt heard of Ergotron, then remembered I had seen them pop up before:
To be honest £1700 does seem somewhat below market value, the Lapsafe version comes in at over £2k for example.
Hope that helps.

Hi Jo
i can recommend ones by Lapsafe, they do a Unocart model for 32 with sync and charge. they are robust, they also have a great cable management facility. This means you are not spending your life unravelling a spaghetti of cables. the trouble with some of the others is that they have not thought this through#

I brought an RM trolley for £600. It just needs to charge, also used Millgate for one of the iPad units Luke mentioned. Just awaiting delivery...

Thanks all for the useful info.
The Ergotron rep has assured us the doors have been changed and there are also other security improvements. Our ICT coordinator visited a school that used one a few days ago and they were mainly positive about it, but I will wait to see for myself. (He's bringing one to school this week.)
Interesting to see "prodtest51" on Youtube defeating quite a few other brands of storage, including the Griffin Multidock which we were also considering. Thanks CPLTD for that link, it's proved very useful indeed!

The Ergotron trolleys are made of plastic and can be opened with a screwdriver. Look for a metal construction at least. There are a few companies in the UK that offer more secure solutions.

4th March 2013, 09:07 AM #14 Just another couple of suggestions for you. We like these trolleys, clever design and metal construction:
Charge only: http://www.devstore.ict-direct.co.uk...-32-ipads.html
Sync & Charge: http://www.ict-direct.co.uk/laptop-t...pads-1315.html
Finally a budget option:
