best broadband modem/router?
Hi all - my router is getting old and looking for a new one and I think I have narrowed it to a netgear dg834n or a linksys wag325n. Does anyone have any comments on these positive or negative or any other recommendations - ideal spec would be a modem and router combined, 4 gig ports 100mb if not and a good range of signal and most importantly reliability.
THanks
Nick

Those are my top choices too. Linksys are attractive in that they're very customisable apparently. I've only ever had Netgears and have been very happy with them.

I have a very nice Draytek but they a bit pricey.
Broadbandbuyer have plenty of reviews of different models

I've always used netgears (mainly DG834G/GT's), as you can run them with custom firmware. but even with the latest netgear firmwares they are pretty robust
Personally I stay away from kit with non standard wireless like all this pre-N/draft N shit, as I find it only works properly if you use hardware from the same vendor. I know the DG834GT uses proprietry wireless but you can always run it at G-only

I have a dlink. baught it for 20 quid from argus last year. I have to say, im really impressed with it so far. If i had more cash at the time, i would have gone for the netgear, personally in my experience i think linksys is way over priced, and are not reliable.
