!! Warning !! Lapsafe Mini Mentor SmartLine + 15.4" WXGA

Just a quick heads up on an issue I have just encountered with the combination of Lapsafe Mini Mentor SmartLine complete with Network Data Modules + Dell D820 15.4" WXGA Laptops

The laptops will only just fit into the shelves, which is not a problem until you come to the shelves that have the screws that hold on the Gigabit Switches. This leaves you with 6 shelves that cannot house a laptop, or in my case scratch the edge of the laptop lid

The only way round as I can see is to remove the screws that attach the switch to the side of the shelves, and to use some form of adhesive pads to replace them.

This is not as easy as it sounds due to the limited access to the screws. Damn that Lapsafe build quality It can be achieved by removing the shelf module, dismantling the switch to gain access to the bolts that hold the switch on.

If anyone is interested I might put together a how-to.

Have you let Lapsafe know about this? Every time we have a design issue we take it to them and even if they can't think of a fix (which you have) they will work on making sure the next lot are fine.
