    Trying to get the Ricoh 5000 back on the domain

    We had to rebuild the domain and since then the scanning to email has disappeared. Any suggestions for how to put this back together?

    Have you checked the DNS settings and also SMTP settings on he Richo device? I know on the Sharp's you have to configure them on the web interface.

    Just to add to this

    1. Either on the copier itself or via the web gui you should be able to adjust the FQDN of your domain
    2. Is the copier on the white list on the SMTP Relay ?
    3. How are you configuring scan to email or what settings are you putting in either via the web gui or on the copier itself ( if via the web gui ) are you able to upload a screen grab ( you can blank out any sensitive data ie usernames etc )

    Are you programming the scan to email function manually per user ( so on the copier ) adding each user in the address book of the copier or as per Oaktech stated getting it to lookup the email address of each user in AD by setting up LDAP on the copier so you can search AD and select users to email documents etc ) ?

    Fot your guidance, our sharp copiers use the following AD config:

    Code:
    OU=our first OU,OU=establishments,DC=OurDomain,DC=Internal
    LDAP Server = OurPrimaryDC
    Servertype = Default
    Port=389
    Timeout=5
    Username=OurLdapUsername
    Password=ThePassword
    Authentication=Simple
    Applicable Destination=Email Address
    Allow Selection on Panel=Yes
    To Be Used As Default=Yes
    Our one Ricoh copier is not significantly different to this.

    Bear in mind we are an RM network, so our AD tree is not quite standard.

    Screen shot of Ricoh 5000 8-30-12.docx

    I had trouble getting the screenshot itself uploaded but here's a doc with the shots.

    Each user is in the address book and chooses themselves as both recipient and sender.
