Hi We have a new contract with canon. The problem is that papercut doesnt work well with the device, for example blocking colour and distinguishing between colour and b/w.

Okai tried updating Papercut to the latest version and ensuring the new machines are setup on it? If they are very new machines it may need Papercut to work on it thus a call / email to them / your reseller wouldn't be a bad idea either )

This can occasionally be caused by a couple of settings on the specific print queue, namely "Advanced printing features" and "Bi-Directional Support". PaperCut have details on how to change these settings here:

Give that a go.
Also if possible try other drivers.
If none of that works then submit a support ticket to papercut these sorts of things are normally driver related but can be fixed.
