    Wireless access points use very little power - eg. Ruckus 7300 series use about 9W. At current prices, that's about 9 a year in electricity in the UK.

    However, if you do want to turn them off, and you were using PoE to power them, and also had managed switches, you could disable the PoE to those ports on the switch via a script at certain times.
