EduGeek is GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, it's been 4 years in the making, and here we are at the position where EduGeek needs full time care and attention. In the beginning I would spend half an hour answering email and dealing with site issues in the evening. Now it often takes until 1am, and that is simply not the way to go on.
So yesterday I handed in my notice, and as of tomorrow I take occupancy of an office on Prestons docklands (I still have 2 months to work though :o ) and begin to move kit in.
I've been planning this for a while now, but had to be sure that EduGeek can fund itself to a sufficient level to support not only myself, but it's day to day running costs, conferences and BETT too. This is no small amount BTW, and I beg you not to send me emails asking me just how much EduGeek turns over as I've had a few of these recently and find them a bit rude, as most of the deals we do are commercial in confidence, and I simply won't answer them.
Anyway, we are now good to go. We have some major companies and organisations battering down our doors and it is a full time job keeping them all in check.
With all of this activity we are in for an interesting few months/years, but please be assured that this is YOUR community, and we hold YOUR interests above all. We won't spam you, sell your details or invade your privacy or despoil the forums in any way. Remember, this place is my home too :)
And if you were at the conf, an office cam may be in the offing, as per your suggestions!
