10th June 2012, 06:14 PM #1 EDIT 2012 - Thanks Everyone
Well, it's 3 days later and I'm finally feeling awake enough to post a collective 'thank you' from all of us here at EduGeek.
Thanks to all of you who took the time and effort to attend, we hope you had a great day/night(s) and found the presentations informative and useful.
Another thanks to the companies and individuals who took the time to come and talk about their relevant specialist areas of expertise. Without you the day would simply not happen.
A big thanks to our exhibitors without who the room would be a lot emptier, and the event a lot more expensive.
Not forgetting the HUGE thanks we all give to Smoothwall for sponsoring the day and paying for the evening meal. I wish I'd had the square burger now!
A special mention also must go to those who notified us in plenty of time of the fact they couldn't make it and freeing up spaces to give to members on the wait list. The event may be free, but we still have to pay for every place, regardless of if someone shows up or not.
Now let’s see if we can do it bigger and better next year

10th June 2012, 06:26 PM #2 Haha, thanks for your hard work in organising the thang Chris & Shaun, always an absolute pleasure.
BTW if you do a Bristol conf we will need to find somewhere as... uh.. inexpensive as the Phantom for food.

Do you know if the presentations will be made available on edugeek?

11th June 2012, 08:13 AM #4 We have recorded them (via the Adobe Connect webcast system), however we still have not had chance to review them yet. It may be that they are not in a fit state to be published but we shall keep you informed.

There was also mention of the actual power points being made available, do you know if this will still happen?

Yes they will be made available. We have permission from all of the speakers to use them, it's just we needed a few days off after the conf to recuperate. You wouldn't belive the level of organisation that just organising that single day involves!

16th June 2012, 02:58 PM #9 Just want to thank those who @Ric_ poked for comments at lunch, due to various major projects at work I couldn't attend the conference but did keep you streaming around site where I was working so could watch and the stream was good, just the volume was a bit too loud at times, remember presenters you have a mic so you don't need to project as you often have to (I am guilty of this myself!!!)
