    EduGeek EDIT2012 Attendee Info

OK, with less than 24hrs to go and some final details cleared away we feel that you may need just a tad more information about some of the finer points regarding tonight's meal and tomorrows activities.

    Wednesday get together:

For those of you arriving tonight and meeting up for a meal here is the information you will need.

We shall be meeting in the the Dog and Partridge pub on Friargate, Preston between 19:00-20:00. The table is booked at Tino's
    restaurant for 20:30

    Getting there:

How to get to Preston from the Ibis Hotel.

    1. Order a taxi and ask them to take you to the Dog and Partridge on Friargate. A taxi will cost about £9
    2. Catch a bus. Leave the hotel grounds via a path in the top right hand corner of the car park. Follow the A6 (Garstang Road) south until you see the Black Bull pub on the right hand side at a crossroads. This is about a 5 min walk. Once you reach the crossroads next to the HSBC bank on your left cross the road directly ahead (to the hair dressers) and then turn left. You will see a bus stop about 50 meters up the road on Sharoe Green Lane. Wait for a bus here. They run every 20 mins. Watch for a number 22 or 23 bus and catch this – DO NOT catch the number 88 bus unless you fancy an extended tour of Preston and its surrounding environs!! The fare into town is about £1.50 (exact change only) and there is a stop almost exactly opposite the Dog and Partridge at the bottom of Friargate. The journey is about 10-15 mins. You can get more timetable information here: Services - All Routes

    Thursday Timings:

Below is a timetable for the day. The journey from the Ibis hotel to the Westleigh Conf Centre is about 5 minutes in a car. Wireless internet access will be provided in the centre and you will receive details on how to access this once you arrive. Please do not arrive until after 08:30 unless you are an exhibitor, in which case the centre should be open from 08:00.
Please note that if you are to bring a laptop that you should under no circumstances try and run any port scanners or other network sniffing software. This happened last year and caused the confernce to be delayed by an hour until we got things sorted out.

08:00 EduGeek staff/exhibitors arrive for setup
    08:30 Delegates arrive coffee etc.

Had to unapprove it once I'd posted this as some images I'd posted up with it went 'wrong'. Anyway, if you have any questions post 'em up.
