Yeah, usually the day motors on at a pace. The last thing we need is a 'speed-bump' session that may just throw everyone, which is what I suspect Licensing would do. As for W8, we'll just have to see, although the latest blogs and videos show it getting more desktop friendly, we'll just have to wait and see, at least at the conf you can get the information you require from the horses mouth.

Something about the use of tablets in education would probably be good, with a bit of both the curriculum side of their use and the management side too - as many of us hear 'devils own spawn' when 'tablet' is mentioned still.
What about a session on the Raspberry Pi?

What a good idea for a session. Whilst Raspberry Pi is on the cards, it does not really fit into this area due to the fact it is planned to be an introduction and techincal session. What you are suggesting I think is more policy and guidelines. I shall note this down and do some digging for a suitably qualified speaker.
For me (and I may be losing my geek status by saying this!), I'm more interested in the policy, guidelines, implementation side of things than the raw technical. Yes, a talk on the nuts and bolts of a Raspberry Pi or the upcoming features of the iPhone 5 would be interesting on some level, but what would be more useful to me professionally would be talks on how these things can actually be used in schools.

Please note date change to the 7th June. This is a Thursday and will allow you all to go home for a well deserved long weekend.

@Dos_Box is that a confirmed date?

Yes it is and our apologies for the delayed respose. We shall be getting up our EventBrite site for bookings in the very near future, so please wait until then to register. Please note we shall not accept any bookings to attend the conf via email or posts on the site as there are details requsted on the online system which would be overlooked otherwise.
