    U-Touch Launches the Worlds First 82” Integrated LCD Multitouch Screen at BETT 2010

    Interactive technology specialist’s U-Touch will be exhibiting on stand M19 at this years BETT show at Olympia, London to present their extended range of education related teaching and conferencing audio visual products which have been successfully employed in many learning centres worldwide. The centre piece on the stand will be the new 82” fully integrated LCD with Windows 7 compatible multitouch, a gigantic presentation tool engineered using the NEC 8205 LCD. Also on show will be a range of other integrated displays and large format overlays for both Plasma and LCD.

    was just about to buy a 77" extreme short throw smartboard but may hold off to see how much this costs.

    Nice idea, but with interactive whiteboards well established in education I would be very surprised if it were cheaper than a large whiteboard and projector. Just think of the size of the wall bracket you'll need for it!

    A quick google brings up one supplier who i've never heard of selling it for £7,628 which is about what I'dexpect for a touchscreen of that size. Most likely be under half that price within a year though.

    After talking to them and getting a mini demo with SimpleSi earlier on the way to getting the pizza order we were told the list price was around £45k. Think I'll be holding off the order for a while
