Wonderful news, and all the best to you as you launch out full time. Just shows what a brilliant idea the forum was in the first place. Be proud!

I propose a highly secret, very surprise house^Woffice-warming party.

Edit: wait, it's not a secret any more. Bother.

Thank you, but it is a community effort, and without you, the mods and the admins (especially Shaun for being a net codign genius) we would not be here today. With me doing theis full time I also hope to get more things organised for you guys in the future, particularly in Scotland and the south (London) all being well.

Aye... just to add another set of Congratulations to the others (even though my typo typing required retyping of congrats about 15 times and not a drop of drink!).

Doubtless we will be behind you and hopefully not pushing you towards the brink of the abyss... Best of luck

May I add my best wishes to everyone else's. As someone has already said - we are all behind you and beside you, but very rarely in front of you DB

I'm tempted to burst into song ... We're all in this together ... but I won't.

WooHoo and congratualtions. It's nice to have been part of something since it started and seen it grow far beyond what anyone imagined, and perhaps some more stuff in the middle for us stuck in Norfolk.

All the best of luck with the big step. One area I was going to ask about at the Edugeek conf and thought you may be able to investigate it now you will not be tied to an employer/LEA is union provision for techies!

From my perspective no union such as Unison, or even the teaching unions that take associate membership from other school based staff have much idea about the actual jobs we do.

If you could somehow form a Edugeek affiliation with a union that could combine their muscle and Edugeek's expertise in representing school based ict staff I'm sure quite a number of people would consider joining up. Just a suggestion, I'm sure you have a lot on your plate at the moment.

Don't worry. Now I'm 'out of the closet' so to speak, I shall be raising EduGeeks profile somewhat in many areas
We have freinds in high places and I intend to start knocking on doors!
