At moment people joining and uploading videos have to be approved. But feel free to post up on there.

Excellent. Perhaps we could post our ICT Suite videos?

We've just started piloting Fliggo as well - so far looks brilliant.

What's wrong with Youtube and a EduGeek channel?

    Fliggo is more personalised.

From a school PoV, rather than an EG one, the MASSIVE bonus for us is having control over who can see the videos, and the ability to import from YouTube, so YT can stay banned due to some of the inappropriate content.

I have to say this looks like the perfect solution to all those queries about the "Useful Youtube videos" I get from staff.

    Thanks for sharing...

Main reason it is banned in large % of schools in the UK.

Also membership is now open but videos are still need to be approved at the moment.

Also I would like to welcome laserblazer who will be managing the Fliggo site.

Please don't get me started on YouTube and who does and doesn't have access to it ... I find it ludicrous that when most QANGOs *know* it is blocked within different RBCs for the majority of adult users (YMMV) they stick stuff up there.

It isn't about them making use of YouTube as they see it as an important community based site ... it is down to the fact that it saves them having to host and manage something themselves!

I think there are some fantastic sites out there where you can have a specific channel which can be whitelisted, and I wish that you could do similar on YouTube so that *all* traffic originates from a specific FQDN (eg Edugeek.youtube.com) but it doesn't at the moment. Perhaps you they are just missing a business opportunity? If anyone *does* know a way of forcing youtube to have a channel like this so that the vids are pulled down as channelname.youtube.com/12W3eR45gf it would be appreciated.

Resurrecting this thread as I've noticed a distinct lack of interest or response from Fliggo regarding a number of emails I've sent them.. Add to that some disturbing tweets that seem to indicate that Fliggo is a dead project and is being left out to seed.

Anyone actually got a live contact that responds and has anything to do with Fliggo? I'd like to find out if it's worth me bothering to develop a site for my primaries without having the potential for it to just disappear.

Sad to say I've just seen confirmation on twitter. They've stopped developing or bug fixing it.

Irritating as heck given that it's killed off one moderated work around I was working on.

    Anyone found any alternatives?
