What can I say but WOOT!!!!! Or as Shaun just put it to me 'Ding'!
We went from 5000 members 12 months ago, and 2500 24 months ago. Gordon Brown would like to see these type of growth figures at the moment I'd bet!

Congrats!!
Now, who won the compo![]()

The sites a big beast now
It has been a lot of work but gaining 5000 members in a year is impressive.
FYI our 10,000th user is:
http://www.edugeek.net/forums/members/hemps.html
So 20,000 by next year?![]()

Nice Logo too![]()
Nice figures, but how many are ACTIVE ?

Like has been said many times before, we dont care so let that be the end of it. I have explained why we dont care (like a LARGE amount of forums/sites) in other threads and the reasons against wiping users etc and I am not prepared to debate this again. We may do something in the future about REALLY REALLY old accounts but thats only a *maybe* for now.
To draw a line, no more of this "active" junk debating this point, enjoy the stats as they are and be happy at that
EDIT: You may have been referring to the "Active" stat at the bottom of the forums index. If it was I am sorry but I thought I would nip this debate in the bud before it starts again. That stat currently is 1,570 members.
Well done guys keep up the good work![]()

Basically, it means that 15% of our member ship is permanently active on the forums. Many just register to sort out a single problem and then lurk, or register and use the rather spiffing search function to get answers without even taking to anyone.
Anyway, as Shaun said, that's quite enough of that. 10,000 people saw a reason for signing up to us!
the 10,000th member should get a mug!![]()

Love It , From Strength To Strength We Go!![]()
Great news!

Students as knowledge shared here leads to problems being solved faster and computers being used safely for educational purposes.... I feel a warm glow coming on... WELL DONE
