Right, it has come to the attention of not only myself but all of the other admins too that we are currently going through a spate of 'juvenile' behaviour. We admins are currently snowed under with not only our day jobs, but with BETT preparations too, this is why we seem to have dropped off your collective radars recently.
The levels of profanity and of inappropriate images being posted have reached such a level that they must stop immediately. As a site being viewed within schools worldwide it is simply not acceptable for us to be seen in such a light. The FFS forum in an exception, but even then you must choose your words carefully. It is far more effective to rant without swearing that by letting out a keyboard flurry of expletives. Honestly, some of you are like teachers at a union meeting!
It stops right now, and I don't want any 'He\she did it first sir' or 'Everyone else is doing it'. I'm currently brandishing my 'big ban stick' and I'm not afraid to use it

14th October 2008, 01:43 PM #2 Maybe FFS should be renamed. We all know what it stands for, and some people obviousely consider it as a green light to use bad language.

The IT Office or The Server Room perhaps?

14th October 2008, 01:47 PM #4 I agree there, it really is an invitation...

14th October 2008, 01:52 PM #6 How's about 'Oh For Heaven's Sake' or 'Fiddely-Sticks'

14th October 2008, 01:52 PM #7 Maybe the ROFL forum which covers either laughing with disbelief, slightly hysterically manical laughter or just in an amused way!
Ps any childish behaviour from me isn't my fault - the big boys made me do it

14th October 2008, 01:53 PM #9 Totally agree the projector thread was ridiculous, I know we work in schools but do we have to behave as though we are the kids in the playground?
FFS is an invite so maybe server room is more appropriate.

14th October 2008, 01:54 PM #10 The Sauna? Steam room? neither of which can be confused with a technical topic, like Server Room or IT Office can.
