Well it was over two months ago we sent an email to Emap saying can we do a support route map for BETT '07.
Anyway utter surprise when they asked us if we would like to partner up with them to run a Technical Helpstand for them.
Then cue the two months of talks to a make sure that Emap could do the help stand and also talk about some stuff we finally got stand booked and confirmed Monday …
Anyway their offer of a free stand (we have to pay for electric and lights) was too good of an offer, you will be amazed at how much have saved by getting stand free (over £4000).
So this is where fun begins as to make stand successful we need to raise some cash through donors and commercial donors.
Also we need for people to volunteer there time as well…
All details can be found at http://www.edugeek.net/bett
Cheers
Russell

That all depends on what kind of money we can raise by then.

I'm off for another lie down before my next lesson (yes ... they finally caught up with me and have me teaching ... but at least it is only media and with sixth formers!)

This is great stuff. And I'd be happy to help (If I still in the same job next year) but I thought I might raise a few questions. If a company donates do they get an assurance that the pepole on the stand won't be honest about (slagg off) their product ? I realise this is only relavant if we tap into some big company (every body likes the little guys) but there legal guys will have somebody signing their life away. I would suggest a standard no endorsement stance (aka Switzerland (unless 6 figures sums are involved at least)) with the phrase any view expressesd is that of an indvidual and does not reflex the view of edugeek's (appart from a healthy degree of synical attitude towards teachers).
Also could I put forward the strap line of "Have you tryed turning it on and off again if so Start here" total stolen I know but that what ICT is for ....
