It is that time of year again...

Shops on saturday become lot busier, people in fake beards pop up at department stores, lights go up and you get to here same cd in every store you go into...

Yes christmas is coming...

Which means one thing the annual edugeek christmas podcast (well we ran a serious of podcasts on xmas eve for last two years so that is annual to me).

For recap for our newer members first year we had Santa Watch yes our roving reporters sat out and looked out for saint nic himself. Last year we had the edugeek poll with members voting for various categories and winners being announced on the show.

Anyway any ideas on what people want to see from show this year...

Each year it gets bigger..

Plan so far is to make 3/4 hours long (8 till midnight) with one feed with half hour podcast versions appearing for those not wanting to listen 'live' feed.

So obviously will include best of podsafe Christmas music (theory is if start getting songs now will have enough by December to fill 4 hours).

But what else do you want to see on it.

Lets have some ideas...

I believe that it depends on who is playing it! Although the music is long in the public domain, an individual's performance is not necessarily so. Better get your piano in tune Russ

On average you have about 5/6 songs per half hour going on the fact that got other stuff in between (hence why need your ideas) so in total you are looking at 48 songs already got loads so should be ok.

As for video as we don't do it live (as we broadcast on xmas eve and much as like you lot we have better things to do on xmas eve) so video not an option really as what we do is create all the audio segs and then edit everything into one.

We have all audio and everything programmed to go about 22nd and then every so often through evening of 24th I make sure that correct audio programs are being released and nothing messed up.

Should say in one playlist I already have about 80 podsafe xmas songs already not saying they are good xmas songs.

As said bit that takes time is all other stuff we do between song's as I have about used up my bank of seg's will get few extra this year so means lot of stuff will have to be original content.

As for type of song I have every kind from original Christmas carols to punk christmas songs and everything in between.
