I say buy one of those small cafetieres and some decent ground coffee (Percol is a good one) and as long as you've got access to hot water you've got great, non-instant yet very quick nonetheless coffee.
Filter coffee machine in office + Tesco coffee = happy me :)
Have a filter machine in the workshop.
But I've also been using some vietnamese coffee from Trung Nguyen Online: Vietnamese Coffee and Tea with one of their phins.
@ZeroHour did you get the one I sent in the coffee collection?
Ben
Agreed Nescafe is nasty. For instant I drink Kenco Smooth, really not bad. Coffee machine at home for when I get home - takes too long in the morning! Nowt at work, two cups a day is plenty for me, and I hate tea :hand:
I bought a McDonalds coffee at 8:20am before work, a train journey and a ringing phone later I manage to drink it at 9:40am, it was still luke warm!
Pretty impressive!
You need one of these
Siemens Surpresso Compact "Beans to cup" coffee machine TK58001GB
This is what I do. Whenever I do venture to make myself a brew though I always get the strange looks and "oh, look at you with your posh coffee" to which I always reply that if they want one, I'll make them one, which soon shut them up (not that that's the intention, I genuinely mean I will actually make them a decent coffee if they want one) but there we go.
The starbucks instant sachet things that they've started doing aren't too bad, but they really are quite expensive.
These days though, thanks to the fact that even with a lidded thermos style cup, I keep getting told about hot drinks around school (there are plenty of staff walking round with normal cups on busy corridors with hot drinks in them but me who's trying to be sensible and never gets a brew at lesson change / break time .. [/rant]) .. I just tend to drink water or the odd bottle of coke here and there ..
We get ground coffee at work for a cafetiere. We've had some coffee from a local shop in the market, but found Sainsbury's Fairtrade or Organic range is just as nice, if not nicer - So Organic Peruvian, Fairtrade Ethiopian Sidamo, and Fairtrade Colombian Coffee (in that order) :)
The process for the AeroPress device looks like too much fuss :)
I'm a strange one. I like instant coffee but don't like proper stuff :(
Favourite brand? Asda's value stuff. 47p a jar and it's either no different or better than Kenco or Nescafe! Then again, I wonder if my tastebuds are dead ;)
Millicano is my instant of choice at the moment - I just take one into each school I goto and don't worry if others use it (they mostly tend to be funny tea people in primaries not tried the Nescafe one yet
Si
PS By funny tea people I mean people who drink funny tea (herbal /lemon etc) :)
@synaesthesia Eww, eww, eww, ewwwwwww! That's just not right ;)
I carry millicano in the toolbox everywhere now. I did get a taste for Granarom Columbian from LIDL Great Britain - lidl.co.uk which was pretty good!
I've got a cheap coffee machine (filter job in my office with a warming plate and jug) fill it up once a day and off you go!
Bought it for home, but never used it. Caffine required at work more :)
I only drink coffee at home.
At work, just green tea, no milk no sugar, and not time to add any other condiments. No space in the server room anyway for a fridge to keep the milk, just a kettle-saurus in a dark corner...
