I was employed as an IT Technician because the Network Manager and his assistant were snowed under. Two weeks before I started the assistant left and the day I started the Network Manager announced he was leaving in 3 weeks!
Having had very little experience of network management, after two weeks on my own, I am now totally stressed, dazed and confused. Apart from that, the salary is insulting for such responsibility.
Am I completely crazy? If not now, then I soon will be.

So...erm Hello! :)
After teaching for more years than I care to admit have taken early retirement and got a job as an IT tech. Some would say I'm having to do some real work for the first time!!!
I'm in one of the Kent schools that's going BSF so life is likely to get interesting...............
Been doing it now 6 months, really enjoying it and realising how little I know.
OK well im not really a new member but I don't really post allot even thou im logged in 90% of the time, reading everyone else's suggestions and ideas.
So yeah im and apprentice under Ric_ and so if I have questions I tend to ask him and yeah BSF is going to effect here as well but what the hell I enjoy what I doing and in not happened yet!
My names Shane, i'm an ICT technician down in a school/college in Cornwall.
We are currently having a new school built through BSF (due to be ready in September so translated I guess that means October).
