Welcome to land that is called edugeek where knowledge flows freely and eduhobnobs are on standby for those really bad days. WELCOME!
Hi Im Leigh from The Billericay School in Essex. Ive just become a full time IT Support technician :)
Wilkommen nach Edugeek, alles die neuen Leute.
I'm still here? Yes I am.
*returns to lurking*
Already started posting around the forums but figured I better make a proper introduction!
I'm Tom (can't stand being called Thomas,) I finished school in 2009, went straight on to a college course for two years (finished that last July) and got a job as a local Primary School's IT Technician about 4 months after! Yeah, I'm only 18 so I'm probably amongst the small group of being the youngest in this 'profession' here *nervously smiles at all you veterans!*
It's pretty neat, but also quite intimidating. My NM is a great guy though, always supports me and is more than willing to teach me new things! It's surprising how much I've already learnt in such a short space of time, looking back at my college course it seems pants compared to learning on the actual job itself!
(I know, I talk too much.)
Anyway, I'm glad to be here. This place seems to have a great bunch of people involved and it's nice to know that if I'm in dire straits I can turn here for help! So hello to all of you! :)
there are a few young 'uns around here: Young Ones - EduGeek.net
Signed up a while back when i got my first full time job as an IT-Technican. Only just started to get into the site.
Lots of interesting stuff, everyone seems nice and friendly. Will be great to get to know some people.
I'll put this in the 'Introduce yourself' thread.
Oh and welcome ;)
I work in two primary schools as the Technician on my own! so should really be the network manager! but the schools cant afford the wages! lol
