Had mine for 3 years in April, at our current rate of overpayments it should be paid off in 3-4 years.......yey..........I absolutely hate owing money.
18 years and £130K to go for us!!
At least the credit card has £0 on it for the first time in 15 years :D
Just about to apply and get our own house....
13 years till mine is paid off... im 25 btw :) and on less money than matthewL :p
I HAD four year 1 month left, (dont ask) bloody women :ohwell:
I am renting at the minute, found a nice flat and its not too expensive at the minute. Next job or payrise (Whenever that is!) and I will look to buy a house.
Suddenly... I hate quite a few people... :p
localzuk ... have you recovered from the Academy visit yet? ;)
I've got 2 more years on mine - not gonig to pay it all off though. No way, going to leave £10 and take another few years to pay it off at £0.20 a month - just to annoy the bank as they screwed this country into the ground. It will cost THEM more money in the long run. Bleeding bankers.
I'll be renting for a hell of a long time - Cheapest 1bed flats here are averaging 150k with a decent 2bed being over 200k.
Unless I can stump up about 60k i'm screwed!
I didnt buy a place until I was 25 and even then it was a 'shared ownership' two-bed semi bungalow and I only owned a third of it. Prices may have been cheaper then but it took until I was 27 and with a partner before we could afford to buy anywhere. Interest rates were up at about 15% so the monthly outgoing was enormous.
It's the ones renting I feel sorriest for - at least the ones still at home can really save up - but rent is just money down the drain...
