got a 32" in my bedroom, but my bedroom is quite big... bah even when i had a little room (single bed, single wardrobe and one desk all that would fit) still had a 32".
This is probably something you need to discuss with your other half, would she be satisfied with 8" less?
Use my laptop atm so a 13''. But in the front room I have a 52''. One extreme to the other lol.
Depends where you are going to put it. On the wall infront of you 32'' I'd say, on a bedside table right next to you, 24''.
32" in the bedroom. The TV's about that size too :)
If the other half was still around i would discuss it with her :ballchain:
I'm thinking 32" is a good choice but it's only a small room but think if i went smaller i'd regret it.
Not sure the budget will stretch that far!
Depending on your budget, I'd get whichever a 32" LED (or 24" LED if the 32" is too expensive), because damn those screens are sharp!
Regardless of size, don't ever, ever get a cheap telly (Technika, Bush, Alba etc.). Get a decent brand name you know. I'm not just talking about the appalling image quality of cheap sets either - I had a cheap Tesco (Technika) set that took 3-4 seconds to change channel, and couldn't show you what was on the guide without changing channel each time, so it took more than 2 minutes just to see what was on. A decent telly will have a much better UI and remote as well as being a better image. Hitachi/Toshiba tend to be a bit cheaper than the LG/Samsungs and are still good.
So I'd say something small but well built rather than assuming that size is everything.
For your telly. TELLY.
Perverts.
When we got our first LCD for the lounge, we were going to get a 26" as we thought anything larger would be OTT. We were advised to go for 32" as we would sone get used to it and then realise 36" would be on the small side. They were right. That said, we only have a 19" LCD in our bedroom and that's fine.
I had this conundrum.. I picked up an LCD projector for £350, full HDMI, a sony 7.1 reciever that dealt with HDMI and 3D (though the projector isn't 3D but thats just a thought for the future, i think for about £400 you can get the 3d projector now anyway), a Yamaha 5.1 speaker set, built a hush box for it and mounted it all between the ceiling and wall over the bed (very securely!) Wiring all goes through the loft, made some brackets for the speakers out of threaded bar and sheet stainless, so they hang from the ceiling rather than the wall. The wire to each speaker comes through over the brakcet so is invisible and the heat from the projector escapes into the loft so it's quiet.
The Virgin HD just plugs straight into it, as does DVD, (bluray would if i had it) Wii, the media streaming jobby i've got in the loft, the iphone has a dock and spotify running to it too.
The projector screen was £40 used, and now I have an 84" TV which makes for some awesome film nights snuggled up in bed.
Total cost was about £800 and it's absolutely genius. I imagine if you didn't want the 5.1 and got a used projector you could easily get that down to nearer £500.

I have a 42" in my bedroom and my daughter has a 32". Buy it from Richer Sounds. They do a 5 year warranty for 10% of the cost of the TV.
32" Samsung for me... another vote for Richer Sounds as well, fantastic customer service :D
A projector... then you can go as big as you like and she cant moan
