Can't believe it. I was watching him yesterday on Football Focus.
Such sad news. The world of football has lost a Legend :(
Why... sometimes people need help, I'd admit, us guys find it harder to admit we have a problem/issue compared to women.
Guys, if you are not thinking straight, get help...
RIP Gary. The world of football has lost a great man.
I don't know or care for Football, I know of this mans name and that's about as far as it goes. Regardless, it's a shame he saw fit to take his own life and I agree with what was said earlier - should anyone have problems of any nature, it's always a good idea to speak to someone.
I grew up watching Gary play for leeds, along with being half welsh so having an interest in his international exploits. Watching the BBC interview with robbie savage today i welled up myself :( Such a sad loss for football, he was a proper gentlemen of the game.
I read about this today firstly on Twitter whilst walking around Cardiff. Shocking. Absolutely shocking. It's difficult to understand what drives a person to take their own lives. I guess we will never find out.
An amazing footballer who was turning the Welsh international team around. His record speaks for itself.
I listened to Radio Wales on the way home this evening - there was a special programme on. Upsetting to listen to people talking about him with the sense of belief.
I've just watched the Robbie Savage interview on the BBC website - brought a tear to my eye.
RIP Gary Speed.
Huge huge loss. Total shock.
Grew up watching him play for Leeds.
I couldn't believe it when it came up on the news, such a model pro. Never caught up in the fame part of football, if he did take his own life then I would be very shocked but I suppose you never know what is going on in peoples lives.
RIP Gary Speed
Without seeming harsh, all I've heard all weekend is RIP Gary Speed, tributes to Gary Speed. What about the wife and two kids he left?
As good a guy as he was, he is also a selfish plick for doing that to his family.
That is supposed to be the hardest thing, admitting you have a problem in the first place.
