You missed 'I googled it to double check before I answered ' from your survey! :D
Bizzare, been doing it for years, but never knew it had a name!
same as dosbox, i've been doing that for years, much easier when selecting things. the annoying bit is when you try to triple click, click four times by mistake and then think "i'll triple click again" and end up clicking about 15 times before you actually get what you want!
I just used to think it was an error condition :)Quote:

We all did it - but who knew it was a feature and not a bug :)
Show me where is says
"To move to a postion, move mouse and click, to select a word, double-click, to select the whole paragraph, triple click"
in the manual :)

I have been using that since office 97.
I actually taught it to a teacher just yesterday.
Been doing it ages but didn't know it had a name too :)
As a Linux user, it's single click for me. Never understood this double click nonsense. :D
Also used it for years - more so in browser address bars than office, where I find it the easiest/quickest way to select the entire address line (after falling in the 15 click trap mentioned above and clicking too quickly past the initial click which selects all anyway... :)
I've voted "of course", although in reality I didn't know there was a name for it, just knew it was a quick way of highlighting a line of text!
Reading the title I thought "what?!" then realised it's what I've been doing for years without even thinking about it being 3 clicks :p
