I have just got off a friend a weights bench including all the weights, what im wondering if anyone out there knows the best exercises to lose my belly for the big day in a years time.

Yoga on the Wii fit. My sister in law always had a bit of a belly until she did that.6 months down the line she has a flat tummy now (she went from women's size 18 to 12 in 6 months)
Cycle and run three to four times a week. Gradually build up your distance so as not to cause injury. The weight will drop off.
The best way to start IMHO is to start eating healthily. make sure you cut out any bad foods and try to stay away from calorie intensive alcohol (spirits are much better than beer/cider/alcopops etc.)
With the weights, try doing sit-ups it will increase the core muscles which will help with the flat stomach.
Remember to balance the workout you do, don't solely concentrate on one area as you may end up looking more out of shape.
if you're an iDevice user (and I think android) there are some fantastic apps that can help
You burn more fat doing compound exercises than regular cardio workouts so I'd suggest having a look at Olympic lifts as they've done a killer job on my physique. Also throw into the mix cardio as a supplement and my personal favourites, kettle bell exercises.
Thank you shall start looking at bits tonight but yes getting back on the bike is a must doo :) only a couple of miles to work too
1) Don't drink Beer
2) Don't eat lard
3) Walk/cycle to work
At least that's what I tell the GF

Have a look yourself or get a friend whose opinion you value to tell you what they think.
