Ahh the joyus rep debate is back again :)
The reason its anonymous is to prevent arguments but people can add their name if they like, there are no rules regarding that but you cant leave serious abuse/swearing via the rep system or the rep will be removed and the ability of the person to post rep will be removed as well. Initially those that do send abuse will get a warning with the neg rep removed. If you want rep investigates please post in the "Message the Admins" forum in the "EduGeek Stuff" forum section.
Nephilim has a lot of rep due to thanked posts he has made, dos and me wont get anywhere near as much as you can thank on the frontpage and in general we dont post as often although a quick database edit... :D
@nephilim - just in case you were offended, my comments weren't aimed as a dig at yourself or to throw doubt on your reputation, merely to prove the point that the rep isn't the be all and end all that some people think it is...
No offense was taken from the post at all :-)

Edit: I'd like to say the hyperlink was in honour of Nephilim's flag..... but it was pure accident.
In terms of points, I can add/remove 147 points...in terms of rep points, it equates to about +/-9
I think people take rep too personally myself. I get neg rep quite often, as I seem to rub quite a few people up the wrong way, but hey, that's just my personality it seems. :)
Ooops, we've just made Zerohour a 2 Star General, someone send him a load of neg rep before it goes to his head:p
My personal take on the rep system is to misquote Oscar Wilde...
"The only thing worse than getting negative rep...is getting no rep"
