Anyone using a 1080p 32" LCD TV as their main monitor

I was thinking of upgrading my 22" 1680x1050 LCD for a bigger monitor. I was wondering if anyone has tried this? I've used TVs with HDMI before but really just to show videos etc. Basically is the dot pitch to large when the TV is only 2 or 3 ft away?

a real dell 30" monitor witha a crazy res will cost £700 which is outa my reach really.

I can pick up a telly like this for under £200...

We have 25" tv's for our monitors and display at 1080p without a problem and would think a 32" would be fine too. I wouldn't recomment anything bigger though.

its probably not ideal as to read you need to sit closer to it than you would to watch tv (currently about 3-4 ft away)

I'm using a 32" LG at home and it's good.
