We've changed our network (from RM to vanilla - windows 2003/2007). We've/I've not written a disaster recovery process yet, am I right in thinking it should be a detailed document on how to recover if certain servers fail? Or for different scenarios?
Do you have one if so how detailed is it?
Your disaster recovery plan should allow a competent person (i.e an IT Professional who isn't necessarily you because you may have died in the fire) to restore your network to a working state.
Think it should cover anything from a single server or switch failing, right up to a procedure for completely restoring from backup in the event of total destruction of the servers
How do you recover 2007? ;)
2008 :-) the 7s and 8s too close together
Thanks Pete, that looks good to read!
not sure if the 'Thanks' option is still available on here!?
