Hi all my gaffer has approached me he has a massive cd collection that he wants to put on his newly aquired mp3 player, i sthere any open source/freebie software that i could get for him to do this?

lame http://lame.sourceforge.net works for me
I usually use that in conjunction with audacity for the odd one or two but there and plenty of other progrmas out there that will use the lame library and have bulk functions.Quote:

Forgot to mention that the software needs to be fairly idiot proof as well in terms of ease of use for absolute non (and i do mean non) techie.

Media player converts CD's to mp3 as well
